At the international conference Artist Pedagogy and Artistic Thinking: Perspectives and Practices at the University of the Arts Helsinki, artists, educators and researchers gathered to explore how artistic pedagogies can respond to contemporary social and ecological challenges. In the round table More-than-Human and Ecological Pedagogies, David Limaverde presented the Disobedient Art School (.d.a.s.) as a space for rehearsing anti-extractive artist pedagogies, asking who can afford to disobey and what our institutions, methodologies and ways of producing knowledge may need to unlearn.
