How do we take .d.a.s. into public space? This was the burning question for our second brainstorm.
We began with a roundtable discussion, zooming in on one theme that had surfaced at the launch event last December: ‘Building Imagination’. How does it happen? From the intimacy of the artistic process to the scale of mass action. We each sat with a single thread of this question; prioritising process over product, education as building imaginative capacities. What emerged was a texture of different entry points.

Then it was time to leave the comfort zone. The assignment was simple: teach the rest of the group something. What followed was a small pedagogical exercise on the street, we covered sign language in activist settings, the mechanics of nasal cleansing. The content mattered less than the form. We made an unrehearsed classroom on the pavement. We wanted to take .d.a.s. into public space, and this was the point of the exercise.

This primed our discussion on the question that had been burning since the last meeting. How do we begin creating little actions on the street? Our next gathering will push this further. If you want to be part of shaping what comes next drop a direct message and we will contact you.
