Compost for Wild Weeds is the first chapter of a publication the Disobedient Art School is writing as it goes. It presents the values Fossil Free Culture NL works by, and it draws on nearly ten years of art performances and interventions in cultural institutions. And it was launched at Compost for Wild Weeds, the event with which the Disobedient Art School opened its doors to the public.
At its heart is a long chapter on disobedience: why it matters, and what it makes possible. Around it, the publication sets out the values that a shared space of creation needs in order to work.
This is a first chapter, and it’s meant to stay unfinished. The book will keep growing over time, with new chapters and with the input of the people who join us.
